Work-Related Learning Tasters Year 9
Dear Parent/Carer,
As part of our KS4 curriculum offer, students take part in one day a week “Work-Related Learning”. Following the recent ‘Stepping Up’ day, Year 9 students now have the opportunity to experience taster sessions for each trade to support their decision moving in to year 10.
Beginning in the week commencing Monday 27th June, students will have one day a week at Envirohort where they will experience sessions in Motor Vehicle Maintenance, Landscaping, Child Care and Hair and Beauty. They will also visit Solid Skills once a fortnight to experience Construction. All sessions run 10am-2pm and lunch will be provided. Students will be expected to arrive at school for transport to their placement around 9.30 and will be dismissed on return at 2pm. Protective clothing will be provided.
