Dear Parent/Carer,

We are always keen to obtain parent feedback to improve the academy. We are currently reviewing the school day and would be grateful if you can spare 5 minutes to complete the following survey about the start times of the day and length of lessons, break, and lunch times:

This week saw us celebrate the Year 11 students’ time at The Edge; it was lovely for staff and students to reminisce and reflect on their achievements. The exam season is now well underway and many students have completed all of their courses and exams. I would like to congratulate them on their commitment and wish them all the best for the future. We will send out information to Year 11 students in the post to confirm the arrangements for the collection of exam results which will be available on Thursday 24th August.

We are continuing our drive to improve attendance and believe every student is capable of attending 100% of the time. There will be weekly attendance rewards between now and the end of the term to praise those students that are making progress and attending well.

Please note that we will be holding a parents evening for Yr 8-10 students on July 11th 4-6pm. More information to follow.

And finally, one for our parents/carers and the wider community. We are holding a cookery masterclass (pie and chip night!) in a few weeks with the intention of building on this into next year. Details are on the attached flyer with all parents/carers and community members welcome to sign up.

Yours faithfully,

Karen Slater

Principal.
