Cost of Living Support with Laundry for Edge Students and Families
Dear Parent/ Carer,
We recognise the impact the current, and continuing, cost of living pressures are having on all families. We continually try to be supportive with our students, as well as to you, our families. We are proud and pleased to already make provisions such as:
- The free school meal offer to ALL students as part of The Edge Pledge.
- The free breakfast club opportunities to all students.
- The no-cost-to-families trips, visits and activities we provide to all students each week.
- The lesson materials and stationery for all student in all lessons.
- The access to mobile phone charging facilities for all students.
- Ingredients for all food practical lessons to all students.
Further to this, high energy prices have left us all concerned about energy use at home. After recent discussions, the Edge Academy in recognition of this would like to extend our offer to include washing of any students’ clothes if required during the school day. A new service from ourselves would allow a student, if required, to bring their clothes they are not wearing that day in to school in a bag or carrier bag marked with their name and Edge staff would ensure that they are washed and dried before being returned to the young person within 24 hours – if not the very same day.
At the Edge we recognise that school life is not just about learning, it is about supporting day-to-day-routines, assisting with life challenges and supporting our valued families.
