Dear Parent/ Carer,
As the end of term approaches, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all Year 11 parents and carers for their continued support throughout the Edge journey. To mark the graduation of our current Year 11, we are planning a celebration event on Wednesday 21st July 2021.
Students need to arrive at school for 9am and will be taken to Cannon Raceway for a Go Karting experience. They will then be transported to ‘That Funky Golf Place’ for an afternoon session. They will return to school for a final farewell in the yard from 3.15-4pm.
All costs have been covered by the school, transport and food and drinks will also be free of charge. Students will not need additional spending money, but if your child would like to bring some, please note we cannot take responsibility for it. All participants will need to wear comfortable clothing and trainer type shoes; open toed shoes are not allowed on the track. Students are welcome to bring their own gloves and balaclava, school can provide these if requested or they can purchase these at the venue for £4.
Beyond this, a reminder that GCSE Examination results can be collected from The Edge Academy between 9.00am and 12.00pm on Thursday 12th August. Staff will be available to support students and discuss next steps with them.
If students are unable to collect their results at this time, they will be posted out to the address we have on our system. On the day of results, only a close family member, over the age of eighteen, can collect results on a student’s behalf with prior consent being given. A form of identification will need to be shown at reception on the day
