Dear Parent/Carer,
I am delighted to inform you that your child has been invited on a trip to Weston-Super-Mare, on Thursday 14th July 2022.
As well as this being a “Cultural Capital” educational visit, this will be an opportunity for all students to enjoy a day out in Weston to celebrate their hard work and success over this academic year or since joining The Edge Academy.
The visit will comprise of the following:
- Return coach trip to Weston-Super-Mare
- Three hours on the beach, in the sea or playing team games
- Going on the Grand Pier and visiting the amusement arcades
We will provide a packed lunch, drinks, ice cream, admission to the pier and sun cream free of charge to your child.
We will leave The Edge Academy at 9.00am and will return at approximately 4.30pm dependent on traffic – we will keep you updated on the traffic conditions.
Your child will need to take the following:
- Swimwear (if appropriate)
- A towel
- A change of clothes/ footwear in case they get wetter than expected!
- Any further refreshments they may require
If the weather is poor on the day of the trip, we will still head to Weston to make the best of the day.
Whilst we hope your child has an incredible experience in Weston, it is important that their behaviour, attitude to staff and the public and safety is paramount. Therefore, I ask you to talk to your child about the importance of staying with members of staff at all times and behaving in an appropriate and impeccable manner.
