Dear Parent/Carer,

Year 10 pupils have been offered an amazing opportunity this half term to work with The Reach Out Mentoring programme www.reachoutproject.co.uk/ They work with young people across the country to offer them opportunities to realise their potential.

As a celebration of their achievements there is an opportunity to visit Cannon Raceway on Friday 28th May 2021 for all those who attended 100% of the Reach Out sessions. Students will participate in a go-karting session, including a full safety briefing, race suit and helmets, and 2 25-lap karting sessions in a 200cc BIZ NG1 race-tuned kart. All participants will need to wear comfortable clothing and trainer type shoes; open toed shoes are not allowed on the track. School will provide a comfort pack containing full finger covering gloves with a textured grip on the palm as well as a balaclava. These items will need to be returned to school. Students are welcome to bring their own, or purchase these at the venue for £4.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided, however students can choose to bring additional money at their own risk. The minibus will leave school promptly at 12.30pm and will return approximately 3.15pm.

Should you have any queries regarding this trip, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected] or [email protected]

Yours sincerely,

Elizabeth Richards
