Dear Parent/Carer,

I am writing a very brief courtesy letter to inform you that we have an OFSTED visit beginning tomorrow which will take place on June 15th and June 16th. This is an inspection taking place under Section 8 of the Education Act 2005.

If you are a registered parent or carer of a pupil at the school, you can tell OFSTED your views about the school by completing Ofsted’s online survey, Ofsted Parent View, at: www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk.

Ofsted Parent View asks for your opinion on some aspects of school life at The Edge, including the progress made by your child, the quality of teaching, how the school deals with bullying and poor behaviour. It also provides a free-text box for you to make additional comments, if you wish. The inspectors will use the online survey responses when carrying out the inspection.

To register your views, you will need to provide your email address, which will be held securely. It will not be used for any purpose other than providing access to the online survey. Neither the school nor Ofsted will have access to any email addresses.

We would be grateful if you could complete the online survey as soon as possible, preferably by 11am on the first day of the inspection, as this will give the inspection team more time to consider your views.

I look forward to engaging with the inspection team and showcasing the ways in which we have continued to go from strength to strength in recent months.

If you have any further questions regarding this letter, please feel free to contact me at andrew.wakefield@theedgeacademy.co.uk

Yours faithfully,

Andrew Wakefield
