Dear Parent/Carer,

I am writing a very brief courtesy letter to inform you that we have an OFSTED monitoring visit tomorrow (on Thursday 25th February). This is not a full OFSTED inspection but a routine “Section 8” visit.

If you are a registered parent or carer of a pupil at the school, you can tell OFSTED your views about the school by completing Ofsted’s online survey, Ofsted Parent View, at: www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk.

Ofsted Parent View asks for your opinion on some aspects of school life at The Edge, including the progress made by your child, the quality of teaching, how the school deals with bullying and poor behaviour. It also provides a free-text box for you to make additional comments, if you wish. The inspectors will use the online survey responses when carrying out the inspection.

To register your views, you will need to provide your email address, which will be held securely. It will not be used for any purpose other than providing access to the online survey. Neither the school nor Ofsted will have access to any email addresses.

We would be grateful if you could complete the online survey as soon as possible, preferably by 11am on the day of the inspection, as this will give the inspection team more time to consider your views.

I look forward to engaging with the inspection team remotely and showcasing the ways in which we continue to support our students both in-school and remotely during these difficult times.

If you have any further questions regarding this letter, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]

Yours faithfully,

Andrew Wakefield

Principal
