Dear Parents/Carers,

Student enrichment experiences are a vital part of our Safe, Ready, Respectful curriculum at the Edge Academy. School visits to different environments and places outside of the local area form a key aspect of that provision.

We are planning to give further such opportunities to students in our CONNECT group during the week beginning March 14th 2022.

On Tuesday 15th March students will be out of school from lesson 4 onwards to visit Cannon Raceway Laser Tag.  All participants will need to wear comfortable clothing and trainer type shoes. The minibus will leave school promptly at 12.30 pm and will return at approximately 3pm. Lunch, refreshments and drinks will be provided as part of the trip, however there may be opportunity for students to access other refreshments should they wish to bring a small amount of money themselves.

On Wednesday 16th March students will be out of school to visit Habberley Valley local nature reserve near Kidderminster, Kinver Edge rock houses and caves, and the attractive Georgian towns of Bewdley and Stourport that sit directly upon the River Severn.

All participants will need to wear comfortable clothing and trainer type shoes. The minibus will leave school promptly at 9.45pm and will return at approximately 2.00pm. Students will be free to leave from school upon return at 2.00pm in recognition of the full day of offsite activities that they will have been actively participating within.

Lunch, refreshments and drinks will be provided as part of the trip, however there may be opportunity for students to access other refreshments or amusement arcades should they wish to bring a small amount of money themselves.

Should you have any queries regarding this trip, please do not hesitate to contact the school, or myself directly via [email protected] or replying via the SMS text message sent from school to notify you of the trip.

Yours faithfully,

Adam Smith

Vice Principal
