Dear Parent/Carer,

I hope you are all still well in these continuing challenging times. I am writing to update you all following the issuing of updated government guidance yesterday afternoon regarding plans for schools to re-open fully in September 2020.

Quite simply, we welcome the government’s ambition for all students to return to school on a full-time basis from September so we will now take some time to scrutinise the latest guidance and put robust plans into place to allow this to happen. As you would expect, safety will once more be the focal point of that planning and we will update you as soon as possible once we have finalised the details.

If you would like to read the updated government guidance for parents and carers regarding the Autumn Term, it is available in full at: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/what-parents-and-carers-need-to-know-about-early-years-providers-schools-and-colleges-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak/what-parents-and-carers-need-to-know-about-early-years-providers-schools-and-colleges-in-the-autumn-term

In the meantime, I can confirm that our current opening arrangements remain unchanged for the remainder of the Summer Term which ends on Friday July 17th. It has once again been a pleasure to work with students of all ages in recent weeks and we are hugely grateful to families for your trust in our safety measures and for ensuring that student attendance in school has been excellent at all times.

As always, please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected] if you would like to e-mail me with any further questions or issues you would like to raise regarding this letter.

Yours faithfully,

Andrew Wakefield

Principal
