Coronavirus Update as at April 1st 2020

Dear Parent/Carer,

Once again I am writing with a further update during the continuing Coronavirus crisis, I hope you and your families are well. I would again like to thank you all for your support during this difficult period; yourselves, students and staff have all been fantastic and we will continue to do everything we can to support the ongoing national effort in tackling the disease.

We continue to remain open for students classed in government guidance as “children of keyworkers” or “most vulnerable” and I can now also confirm that we will be remaining open for these groups only during the Easter holiday period. Opening hours will be as follows:

Monday April 6th, Tuesday April 7th, Wednesday April 8th and Thursday April 9th: 8.45am-1.35pm

Tuesday April 14th, Wednesday April 15th, Thursday April 16th and Friday April 17th: 8.45-1.35pm

You may be aware that the government has published new guidance for parents and carers in recent days on supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children during the current “lockdown” period- if you have not seen this, this can be accessed in full at:

We will be picking up this theme in our staff VLOG this weekend, if you have not already seen our first one which we released last weekend, this can be accessed on our YouTube channel at:

We are constantly working on ways of adding to and improving our communication with you all; as feedback on this first VLOG has been positive, we will continue to provide weekly updates in this way during the Coronavirus crisis on our YouTube channel which you can subscribe to free of charge at:

Finally, the usual reminder that I would also be grateful if you could all check that we have your most up to date contact details so that we can continue to communicate with you all quickly and effectively. Don’t forget that as always, alongside any paper copies of letters and mobile phone texts, we post all of our latest news on the following social media platforms:
