Non- uniform day – Wednesday 21st June

Dear Parent/Carer,

Since starting as Principal at the academy in March I have been really impressed with our students’ sense of community and the way they are keen to support good causes. To continue this good work we will be holding an optional non-uniform day on Wednesday 21st June. Students and staff can pay £1 (or more if they so desire) for the privilege of not wearing school uniform. All monies raised will go to supporting the families affected by the Grenfell Tower disaster.

I would like to remind students that whilst it is due to be another hot day tomorrow, they should ensure that the clothing they choose is appropriate for school.

As per our school uniform policy, students are allowed to wear black skirts and in exceptionally hot weather, appropriate black shorts may be worn. We will continue to monitor the weather forecast for this week and will put updates re uniform on Twitter: www.twitter.com/edgenorthfield

Yours faithfully,

Karen Slater

Principal.
