Our Careers Curriculum:
All students at The Edge Academy are entitled to a full programme of careers education through lessons, form time activities and curriculum enrichment opportunities.
All students complete a range Work Related Learning taster sessions throughout KS3 and can choose from Motor Vehicle Maintenance, Child Care, Hair and Beauty, Construction or Sports Leadership. In KS4 they choose to complete Level 1 or 2 qualifications in the areas above or we source a bespoke work experience placement.
We have a careers library for all to access and host Birmingham Careers Service independent careers advisers once a week.
At The Edge Academy we want to give our students the best insight into what is available for them when they leave school. We provide meaningful experiences with further education and higher education providers as well as employers. Please see our CEIAG Policy for our full careers programme.
