Dear Parent/Carer,
As always I hope you are well and hope that your child is looking forward to the Half-Term holiday. I would like to thank our students for their hard work over the last few weeks and hope that they enjoy a well deserved rest. We will break up for half-term at our normal finish time of 2pm on Friday 25th May.
Following the success of our Easter holiday revision programme, we will again be opening our doors during the holiday to any students who would like to attend at the times listed below. These will be particularly relevant for Year 11 students as we support them through their examination period.
Tuesday 29th May 10-12 Science (Beth Lancashire), 10.30-12 English (Donna Blythe)
Thursday 31st May 10-12 PE (Jackie Bailey)
Friday 1st June 10-12 English (Sarah Hyde)
Finally, I would like to advise you that it has been agreed with the academy governors that Monday 4th June will be an additional training day. I apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, however as new Principal it is important that I ensure that all staff training is fully up to date, and that we are able as a team of staff to move forward swiftly on implementing the actions from our improvement plan. Students will therefore return to school as normal at 9.15am on Tuesday 5th June.
